The training session saw the timely return of Le Van Thuan - the player who was just called up to replace Thanh Nhan who unfortunately suffered an injury.

With his continuous participation in recent training sessions of U23 Vietnam, Van Thuan quickly integrated into the team's movement and spirit, ready for the opening match if given the opportunity.

To ensure the physical strength of his students as well as minimize the risk of unnecessary injuries, Coach Kim Sang Sik proactively reduced the amount of exercise during training sessions.

The Korean coach also completed personnel and tactics plans, and made a final review of the squad for the opening match against U23 Laos.

Goalkeeper Nguyen Trung Kien said: “U23 Vietnam is very focused, looking forward to tomorrow's match with the highest determination and best spirit. We consider all opponents the same, and when we step onto the field, we will play our best to achieve the best results.”

Talking about the competition for the goalkeeper position, Trung Kien emphasized: “The difference between the three goalkeepers is not much. Personally, I always try to perform well in every training session, and learn a lot of valuable experience from goalkeeper coach Lee Won Jae, who has participated in 4 World Cups. Every training session is an opportunity for me to improve.”

U23 Vietnam is ready for the opening match.
