Civil UAVs and Technologies for the Future

Besides the area of military equipment and UAVs, the area displaying civil products also attracted the attention of many exhibition participants.

At the exhibition space of the Ministry of Science and Technology , CT UAV (a member of CT Group), introduced a 1:6 model of the prototype of an electric passenger UAV called CT-2W1.

The first prototype of the CT-2W1 electric passenger UAV is expected to be unveiled in mid-2025 and go into mass production in December next year. With a top speed of 200 km/h, the ability to carry 5 people and a continuous flight time of up to 2 hours, the CT-2W1 is considered a breakthrough in urban transportation.

Mr. Tran Kim Chung, Chairman of CT Group, shared: With the goal of multi-industry application, CT UAV's unmanned aerial vehicle (under CT Group) is aimed at transporting people, applied in fields such as: telecommunications logistics, advertising; carbon credit (Carbon Credit); rescue, fire prevention and fighting; serving environmental protection, agriculture-forestry-fishery; oil and gas technology; power transmission; solar energy, wind energy and many other specific industries...

The representative of the information production unit said that during the development of CT-2W1, the unit faced many challenges because it is one of the pioneers in this field in Vietnam. Creating quality UAV products will be the premise to bring about a breakthrough in the urban transportation and tourism industry not only in Vietnam but also in the Southeast Asian region.

Besides CT-2W1, some lines of civil UAV/Drones and UAVs researched and produced by domestic private enterprises have also been introduced to the public and experts.

One example is the case of Drone Hera, a product created from Vietnamese intelligence and highly appreciated internationally, appearing in both defense and civilian product exhibition areas, demonstrating its dual-use.

The Ministry of Public Security's booth has many products appearing for the first time such as the DJH09 mobile drone/flycam suppression device, or UAV combined with software to collect and manage security data...

Or the specialized UAV model for reconnaissance, surveillance, rescue and relief operations named "Horus" researched and developed by HTI Group.

Horus UAV is developed focusing on search, rescue, salvage and surveillance/reconnaissance missions. This is a 100% "Made in Vietnam" product.

Standing out with a flight range of up to 5km, stable flight ability (can withstand wind force level 5), long-range control range (up to 20km), camera integrated with modern technology, the "Horus family" UAV attracted special attention from exhibition attendees.

At the event, HTI Group also introduced many high-tech solutions researched and developed by the unit itself, which have been highly appreciated and applied in many agencies and units. Notable are the Smart Fusion traffic security monitoring system; video data analysis system (Video Insight); mobile target monitoring and positioning system (Themis)...

Notably, HTI Group also offers security solutions that fully integrate AI. The representative of the unit said that in the context of traditional solutions that mainly utilize human resources are gradually showing limitations, even overload, the solution of applying artificial intelligence is considered a breakthrough solution, bringing outstanding benefits to the security surveillance system.

"With the ability to analyze big data, machine learning and image recognition, AI helps automate the monitoring process, improve the accuracy in detecting abnormalities and minimize human errors. Thanks to that, organizations can proactively prevent risks, respond quickly to emergency situations, and ensure the safety of assets and people," emphasized the HTI representative.

A typical example is the video analytics software system. This is the software that analyzes and converts all types of videos into intelligent data. By leveraging the existing video surveillance infrastructure, the solution brings high efficiency, enhances security, reduces personnel requirements, analyzes and searches in large-capacity videos faster, helping to make quick and accurate decisions.

Meanwhile, the HSmart Face facial recognition system allows allows to verify a person's identity within a few seconds, much faster than traditional methods; thereby increasing operational efficiency, reducing time and costs, and enhancing security and confidentiality.
