The Provincial People's Committee approved the policy of building a new bridge to replace Tung Tao suspension bridge.

On November 28, the leader of Ha Giang 2 ward said that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had decided to approve the construction of a new bridge to replace the Tung Tao suspension bridge that was swept away by floods in early October.

Tung Tao suspension bridge located on Pham Hong Cao street in Ha Giang 2 ward (connecting Nguyen Van Linh street and Ly Thuong Kiet street) was completed and put into use in 2015. However, due to heavy rains and floods from last October, Tung Tao suspension bridge was washed away, greatly affecting people's travel. Therefore, on October 29, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision 1088/QD-UBND on allocating support funds from the central budget in 2025 to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 in Tuyen Quang province. This includes the construction of a new Tung Tao bridge in Ha Giang 2 ward.

Up to now, the People's Committee of Ha Giang 2 Ward is completing investment procedures to select a contractor to build Tung Tao Bridge in the coming time. The investment in building Tung Tao Bridge will play an important role in connecting the two central areas of Ha Giang 2 Ward, while creating external traffic connections from the ward center to the highland communes of the province.

It is known that the new Tung Tao bridge will be built at the location of the old suspension bridge that was washed away by the flood.
