The People's Committee of Dong Nai province is the managing agency for the Tan Hien Bridge Construction Project connecting with Ho Chi Minh City.

(Dong Nai) - On February 11th, according to the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, the Government Office sent a document to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee informing them of the opinion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha regarding the assignment of the managing agency to implement the Tan Hien Bridge Construction Project connecting Dong Nai province with Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, considering the proposal of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha agreed with the locality's proposal to assign the People's Committee of Dong Nai province as the managing agency for the Tan Hien Bridge Construction Project. The People's Committee of Dong Nai province shall, based on the regulations of the law on public investment, state budget, and other relevant legal provisions, implement the project in accordance with regulations, ensuring that there is no corruption, waste, or loss of state assets and funds.

To enhance transportation connectivity between the two localities and the Southeast region, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province have agreed to invest in eight road bridge projects: Cat Lai, Long Hung, Phu My 2, Hieu Liem 2, Thanh Hoi 2, Tan Hien, Tan An, and Xom La. Of these, the Cat Lai and Long Hung bridge projects are managed by the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, while the Phu My 2 bridge project is managed by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

Regarding the Hieu Liem 2 Bridge, Thanh Hoi 2 Bridge, Tan Hien Bridge, Tan An Bridge, and Xom La Bridge projects: The People's Committee of Binh Duong Province (formerly) and the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province have agreed on the principle of researching and implementing the projects. Accordingly, the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province will implement the construction of Xom La Bridge and Tan Hien Bridge; the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province (formerly) will invest in the construction of Hieu Liem 2 Bridge, Thanh Hoi 2 Bridge, and Tan An Bridge. Of these, the Hieu Liem 2 Bridge construction project has been approved by the Prime Minister and assigned to the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province (formerly) for investment and construction.

In mid-January 2026, the Cat Lai, Long Hung, and Phu My 2 bridge projects were officially launched by Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City.

The Tan Hien bridge project, spanning the Dong Nai River and connecting Thuong Tan commune (Ho Chi Minh City) with Tan Trieu ward (Dong Nai province), is planned to have 4 lanes for motorized vehicles and 2 lanes for non-motorized vehicles.
