Ukraine attack fails, Russian army breaks through strategic defense line

144 Ukrainian drones destroyed

On the night of September 10, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a massive drone attack on Russian positions. Russian air defenses repelled the attacks in nine areas.

In total, 144 Ukrainian drones were destroyed. Kiev is believed to have used a drone called Luty. Most of the drones now hit the Bryansk region, where 72 were shot down by Russian forces.

20 Ukrainian drones targeted the Russian capital. Two residential buildings in the Ramenskoye district in the southeastern suburbs of Moscow, where Zhukovsky airport is located, were attacked by Ukrainian drones.

According to local sources, a Ukrainian drone was also intercepted by Russian forces in the Troitsk region, a southwestern suburb of Moscow. The target of the Ukrainian attack may have been the nearby Vnukovo airport.

Thirteen drones were intercepted in the airspace of the Tula region. Some of the debris fell on one of the local energy facilities. According to local authorities, the enterprise did not suffer serious damage and production was not interrupted.

Many strategic defense lines of Ukraine were penetrated by Russian army

Meanwhile, at the front line, the Russian army destroyed Ukraine's defenses from many different directions.

On September 10, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed control over four towns turned into fortified strongholds by the Ukrainian army in Donbass.

After protracted fighting, Russian troops have completed a “clearance operation” in Krasnogorovka, one of the last Ukrainian strongholds on the southwestern outskirts of the Donetsk metropolitan area, which has been fortified and equipped for more than a decade.

Russian forces have secured control of Grigorovka on the northern outskirts of Chasov Yar. The Ukrainian army has been unable to hold the defenses of this strategically important settlement, the last stronghold north of the Seversky Donets-Donbass Canal.

In the direction of Pokrovsk, the town of Galitsynovka located south of the Karlov reservoir came under full Russian control.

Finally, the Russian army is developing a rapid offensive in the south, encircling the Ukrainian fortress of Ugledar. As a result, after only a few days of attacks, the Ukrainian forces have been pushed back from Vodianoe. The Russian flag is also flying over the mining base in the southern Donbass. The Ukrainian forces are retreating on a large front across the steppe under heavy Russian fire.
