AI applications to forecast energy consumption and prices

E.ON is one of the world's leading providers of clean energy networks and energy solutions, serving around 47 million customers in 17 countries. In the UK, E.ON is the largest electricity supplier to industrial customers, supplying one in seven homes and businesses.

Under the new agreement,FPT will continue to support the development and operation of E.ON Optimum’s solution platform, a cloud-based energy management system that provides energy-using businesses with flexible and timely data analysis capabilities, helping them make faster and more effective decisions towards the goal of net zero emissions.

In the coming time, the two sides will focus on maintaining and upgrading web application features, and integrating AI technology developed by FPT to forecast energy consumption and prices. This agreement also brings opportunities to expand technology cooperation with E.ON Group, aiming to promote digital innovation and green energy management of both sides.

Over the past three years, FPT has played a key role in the development and comprehensive operation of the Optimum platform. The company is involved in the entire process from web application development, system architecture design, feature maintenance, to building energy consumption forecasting models. These models analyze weather data, apply AI and machine learning technology. FPT has supported E.ON to strengthen its digital capabilities and improve customer experience in the UK as well as other regions in Europe.

Previously, FPT and E.ON have built a comprehensive cooperation relationship in many fields such as SAP, ServiceNow, Sitecore, DevOps, application development, testing and cloud computing. The two sides have jointly implemented large-scale projects, including the SAP decentralization project for more than 60,000 users in Europe, supporting E.ON One in developing sustainable energy solutions. In 2023, the two sides will continue to strengthen the partnership by researching the establishment of a service center in Vietnam, to enhance flexible and continuous operational capacity and global supply capacity.
