The waste heat recovery system at Long Son Cement Factory helps save electricity and reduce emissions into the environment.
In the industrial sector, supporting enterprises in technological innovation is identified as a key focus. Through the Thanh Hoa Province Enterprise Development Project for the period 2021-2025, many units have been guided, supported and encouraged to apply high technology and digital transformation in production. Enterprises are encouraged to invest in new or improved production lines and equipment, focusing on products with high added value and great competitiveness. At the same time, the digitalization of information systems, production data management and product development are also being vigorously implemented.
Along with that, the Project on developing the processing and manufacturing industry until 2030 has created a clear policy framework, helping businesses orient their development towards modernity, energy saving, and environmental friendliness. Many businesses in industrial parks and clusters have successfully applied automation and smart control technology, creating a fundamental shift in production capacity.
In particular, promoting the application of waste heat recovery technology to generate electricity in cement factories is a bright spot in this period. This is a solution that helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save energy costs, contributing to realizing the goal of green industrial development. Up to now, 3 units have been investing in technology, and 2 units have established new investment projects, affirming the right direction in combining production and environmental protection.
While the industrial sector has made its mark with technological innovation and digitalization of production, the construction industry stands out in the development of new environmentally friendly materials. Implementing the Project on developing construction materials for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2045, Thanh Hoa has attracted and encouraged many businesses to invest in new material production projects, gradually replacing traditional natural resources. Currently, the whole province has 15 quarries investing in crushed sand production lines (artificial sand) with a total capacity of about 1.24 million m3/year, contributing to reducing the pressure on river sand exploitation, limiting landslides and protecting the ecological environment. In addition, the industrial lime factory in Bim Son ward with a capacity of 150,000 tons/year and production lines of lightweight powder and industrial lime have contributed to diversifying local construction materials products.
New technology is also applied in design, construction and management of construction works. BIM (Building Information Modeling) models have been tested in many key projects, helping to shorten construction progress, reduce costs and control quality more effectively. Some units have applied smart materials and 3D printing technology in construction, opening up new directions for the modern construction industry.
From the implementation practice, it is shown that the connection between scientific research - management agencies - production enterprises is the decisive factor for success. Thanh Hoa province has focused on connecting "three houses": the state - scientists - enterprises, creating favorable mechanisms for technology transfer, commercialization of research results and encouraging innovation...
Thanks to the synchronous participation, the industrial - construction picture has improved a lot. New products such as artificial sand, lightweight lime powder, thermal power recovery cement or green material projects not only bring economic value, but also demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development. With a vision to 2030, Thanh Hoa continues to prioritize investment in research, innovation, promoting comprehensive digital transformation in industry and construction, towards a green growth model, circular economy.
Applying science and technology in industry and construction is not only a trend, but also a vital requirement in the context of globalization and climate change. Thanh Hoa is on the right track when it firmly implements the goal of "fast, sustainable development based on innovation". From policy to practical action, all efforts are aimed at a modern, green and efficient industry and construction.
