A few years ago, Mr. Luong Tien Manh tried making duck patties, creating them based on the traditional ham, duck porridge, and grilled duck dishes of his hometown. He learned from each failed experiment and gradually improved the duck patties and let his family and acquaintances try and give comments. Finally, success came to him when this dish had the characteristic flavor of duck meat and the right crunchiness of patties, which was praised by many people.
After that success, he quit his job as a veterinarian to start a business with duck sausage and build the Thuy Manh duck sausage brand. When he learned about the OCOP program, he boldly registered to participate with his product. Impressed by the creativity and unique story in 2022, the jury recognized Thuy Manh duck sausage as a 3-star OCOP product and upgraded it to 4-star OCOP in 2023. Currently, his facility supplies hundreds of kilograms of duck sausage to all provinces and cities every day, creating stable jobs for 10 local workers. Thuy Manh duck sausage products are available at many clean food stores and OCOP product introduction points in the city.

Recently in Hanoi, many people know about the melon and queen melon products of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nghia, but do not know how long his journey with the love of safe agricultural products has been. It was a bold move when he mobilized his family and invested 1.7 billion VND to build a 5,000m² greenhouse system to grow plants. Since having the greenhouse, he has been proactive in many factors in production, no longer completely dependent on nature, especially the sun, rain, and diseases. Thanks to that, the problem of plants being infected with fungi or pests has been reduced, the use of toxic pesticides has been reduced, and the productivity and quality of crops have been improved. Not only growing common vegetables, he has also successfully grown many "difficult" types of plants such as melon and queen melon... with a revenue of more than 1 billion VND/year, creating regular jobs for many local workers. Mr. Nghia himself has been recognized as a good producer and businessman at the city level for many years.
When mentioning Van Dinh, we cannot ignore the fragrant rice of Khu Chay of Doan Ket Cooperative, which has been recognized as a 4-star OCOP product. Since being certified as OCOP, the consumption of the unit's products has increased by 20-25% compared to before thanks to being known by more consumers. Currently, Ms. Cao Thi Thuy's Cooperative is cooperating with people to produce in the form of large-scale fields following a closed production chain from planting, caring, harvesting to processing and consuming rice. She wants to cooperate with stores to be able to consign products and at the same time wants to expand the area applying VietGAP standards.
Many farmers in Hanoi and other provinces have called her to sign contracts to produce rice and then purchase their products, avoiding the situation of leaving their fields fallow. Many customers also want to sign contracts with the cooperative to produce products according to VietGAP standards, so she is in need of preferential loans to invest in the factory.
In the past, people only cared about agricultural production without paying attention to making money from agriculture. Therefore, most agricultural products were only sold raw, without preliminary processing, processing, preservation, without packaging, labels, value, depending on traders, the refrain of good harvest, low price kept repeating. Currently, the number of enterprises investing in the agricultural sector in Van Dinh is still modest, not creating a close link between production and consumption.

However, with more than 30 agricultural cooperatives, it is also an advantage for the locality to develop production, improve quality, and increase income for tens of thousands of farmers. The commune advocates continuing to apply scientific and technical advances and high technology to increase economic efficiency for members. Guide cooperatives with good products to participate in the OCOP evaluation and classification program, those who have achieved 3 stars should strive for 4 stars, those who have achieved 4 stars should strive for 5 stars. The general goal is to have many OCOP products with the characteristics of Van Dinh and after achieving OCOP, the subject must upgrade the quality and increase the quantity to meet the needs of consumers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Ha, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Van Dinh Commune, hopes that the city will have mechanisms and policies to encourage farmers to participate in new production models with high economic value. At the same time, she hopes that the city will help connect and bring Van Dinh OCOP products into the supermarket system and stores in the inner city...
