Campaign for literary and artistic creation on Journalism nationwide in 2025

The campaign is for professional and non-professional artists; journalists, reporters; Vietnamese citizens living, working, studying, and laboring in and outside the country; foreigners living, working, studying, and laboring in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, journalist Vuong Minh Hue, Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi People Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Campaign, said: "The Campaign for Literary and Artistic Creation on Journalism - Journalists in the Capital and the Whole Country 2025" is a practical activity towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. This is an opportunity to review the glorious tradition and important and great contributions of Vietnam's revolutionary press in the struggle for national independence, national reunification, building and defending the Fatherland; at the same time, it is also an opportunity to honor the contributions to the journalism career of journalists."

"Through literary and artistic works, we contribute to recreating and spreading the image of journalists and the journalism profession; raising awareness and sense of responsibility of journalists for the cause of protecting and developing the country; fostering andeducating pride, love for the profession, determination to strive to become true journalists, contributing to the construction of the capital and the country," emphasized journalist Vuong Minh Hue.

In addition, the entries must demonstrate the following contents: Praising and highlighting the significance, role and important mission of journalism, journalists and Vietnamese revolutionary journalism; Informing and reflecting the daily work of journalists on the cultural and ideological front; Highlighting the unique characteristics and features of journalism and journalists compared to other sectors in society;

Set an example and introduce typical and advanced factors in journalism. The works must be new creations, not entered in any other competitions, have not won any other awards and have no disputes over copyright or authorship.

According to the organizers, the entries will be in 3 categories: Song; Poetry; Short Drama.

The Organizing Committee will accept entries from the launch date (June 17, 2024) to May 17, 2025 at the editorial office of Nguoi Ha Noi Magazine, 126 Nam Cao, Ba Dinh, Hanoi or via email address vdst.nghebao@gmail.com (the title clearly states: Entry to the Literary and Artistic Creation Campaign on Journalism - Journalists in the Capital and the Whole Country 2025).

The entries will be selected by the Jury of each category through two rounds of Preliminary and Final to be considered for awards based on the announced award structure.

It is expected that the Award Ceremony and the performance of the winning works will take place on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025). There will be 30 awards given to 3 categories, each category has 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 4 Encouragement Prizes. In addition, high-quality works will be introduced and published in Hanoi People Magazine immediately after the Final Round results are announced.
