
Seminar with the theme "Vietnam Business Culture Criteria 2025".
On the morning of November 10, in Hanoi , the Organizing Committee of the Campaign "Building Vietnamese Corporate Culture" and the Vietnam Corporate Culture Development Association coordinated with the Hanoi Unesco Travel Club to organize a discussion with the theme "Set of criteria for Vietnamese business culture 2025".
The program is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 9th anniversary of Vietnam Business Culture Day (November 10, 2016 - November 10, 2025), towards the annual National Forum with the theme "Vietnam Business Culture - Shaping breakthrough thinking in the new era" in 2025.
Building a responsible and trustworthy tourism business community
Speaking at the opening of the Seminar, Mr. Truong Quoc Hung, Chairman of the Hanoi Unesco Travel Club, affirmed that building a corporate culture is not only an inevitable requirement in the integration process but also brings practical benefits, which are strengthening internal strength: Building a civilized working environment, increasing cohesion and maximizing team capacity; Improving competitiveness: Building a prestigious brand, differentiating and enhancing position in the market. Sustainable development: Building a solid foundation for stable and long-term growth. Finally, standardizing operations: Systematizing management processes, improving business efficiency.
According to Mr. Truong Quoc Hung, the tourism industry is not only a comprehensive economic sector, but also a messenger connecting cultures. Those working in tourism are the pioneers in creating a business culture imbued with Vietnamese identity: Honesty, Trust, Humanity and Sustainability.
Mr. Truong Quoc Hung informed that the Vietnam Business Culture Criteria 2025 that we are learning about today is not only a set of rules but also a "compass" to guide sustainable development; a "passport" to elevate the brand of Vietnamese enterprises and a "heart" to join hands in building a responsible and trustworthy tourism business community.
Business culture is one of the pillars of sustainable development of the country.
Speaking at the Seminar, Mr. Ho Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Vietnam Association for the Development of Corporate Culture said that after 9 years of implementing the Campaign "Building Vietnamese Corporate Culture" launched by the Prime Minister, we have gradually moved from awareness to action, from honoring to standardizing. In particular, the promulgation and completion of the Vietnam Business Culture Criteria 2025 has marked a new step of maturity in philosophy and management tools.
"This set of criteria has shifted from a "compliance" mindset to a "leading" mindset, from "doing the right thing" to "doing well and being responsible to society". And we chose the tourism industry as the pioneering field to implement the model "Enterprise meeting Vietnamese Business Culture standards", because tourism is the industry that connects culture - people - economy - environment", Mr. Ho Anh Tuan emphasized.
Mr. Ho Anh Tuan assessed that 2025 is a special milestone in the country's cultural and economic development process. In less than two years, the Politburo has issued a series of strategic resolutions shaping Vietnam's vision in a new era of innovation, international integration, legal improvement, private economic development and educational and training breakthroughs.
In that flow, Vietnamese business culture is being affirmed as a pillar of sustainable development of the country - a place where Vietnamese intelligence, bravery and humanity converge in economic life.
"And the tourism industry, more than any other sector, is where culture is most clearly expressed in business. There, every product, every service, every smile of a Vietnamese person is a "cultural message", a "national brand" spread to international friends," said Mr. Ho Anh Tuan.
According to Mr. Ho Anh Tuan, every Vietnamese tourism business today, if it knows how to promote management through Culture, will not only attract tourists but also win their trust, creating long-term vitality for its brand.
In a rapidly changing world, any business with a strong cultural foundation will stand firm and go far. Because culture is the most sustainable competitive ability - the "soft power" of a business, the guiding light for a sustainable development strategy.
Mr. Ho Anh Tuan expressed his hope that Vietnamese tourism businesses will continue to take the lead in this movement, becoming pioneers, "cultural ambassadors" of the image of a friendly, humane, responsible and creative Vietnam.

The set of criteria is an important measure to help businesses enhance their reputation and affirm their position.
Sharing at the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Thu Hue, Deputy Director of the Institute of Business Culture, Vietnam Association for Development of Business Culture, said that the set of criteria was built to guide standards of production and business activities, spreading ethical values and national identity. The set of criteria consists of two parts: a group of mandatory criteria and a group of specific criteria, reflecting the core values of Vietnamese corporate culture in the integration period.
The set of criteria is an important measure to help businesses enhance their reputation, affirm their position in the socialist-oriented market economy, and at the same time promote the formation of a responsible business community with Vietnamese identity.
According to Dr. Nguyen Thu Hue, in the actual process of building and developing corporate culture, the first group of criteria is the most influential group. Dr. Nguyen Thu Hue believes that "what leader has that culture". From leaders thoroughly understanding and valuing corporate culture, then consistently implementing it in the organization, implementing corporate culture will make that business stronger.
"The important thing is how to behave in the same context. For example, tourism culture is a friendly culture, so right from the security guards and receptionists, we must show that friendliness," said Dr. Nguyen Thu Hue.
Historian Duong Trung Quoc believes that the development of a set of criteria including these standards is extremely important, has practical significance and needs to be done step by step. According to historian Duong Trung Quoc, if a business achieves the standards in the set of criteria, partners will trust it more because those are more prestigious businesses, the value of the brand is that.
According to historian Duong Trung Quoc Qua, in addition to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", businesses should set the goal "Vietnamese goods conquer Vietnamese people" and "Vietnamese tourism conquers Vietnamese people".
From a business perspective, Ms. Nguyen Thi Van, General Director of Hanoi Tourist Corporation (Hanoitourist), said that state-owned enterprises play a pioneering role in practicing business culture. Hanoitourist always maintains the principles of fairness, transparency and respect for partners, even in difficult markets such as Europe and Japan.
Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Tran Trung Hieu shared information: "Currently, the tourism industry and Hanoi city also have their own sets of criteria or codes of conduct. However, in my opinion, this set of criteria is completely non-overlapping and has its own value. Businesses can strive continuously to achieve different levels. Hanoi Department of Tourism commits to accompany, support and use this award in the general propaganda and promotion work of the industry."
The seminar "Vietnam Business Culture Criteria 2025" affirmed a strong message: "Culture is the root of business, the soul of the brand and the soft power of the nation". In the integration era, Vietnamese enterprises cannot only grow by capital and technology, but must survive by culture - the value that creates the character and personality of the nation.
The Hanoi Unesco Travel Club has also announced a specific action plan, roadmap and procedures for participating in the recognition of "Enterprises meeting Vietnamese business culture standards" in 2025, towards the 5th annual National Forum "Culture with Enterprises", scheduled to take place in December 2025.
