Vietnam team received bad news from Van Lam. |
The Vietnamese team had their first training session at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho ) to prepare for the match against Laos on November 19. During this session, goalkeeper Van Lam had a problem with his hamstring and had to temporarily stop training. The incident occurred when the team moved from the warm-up to the more intense coordination activities.
Van Lam has been a regular choice in the national team's goal in recent times. His injury in the first training session has forced the coaching staff and medical team to closely monitor him. Initial assessments show that this is likely a muscle injury, with no known impact on the joints. The team needs further test results to determine the specific extent.
During Van Lam's time off, the remaining goalkeepers continue to train with the specialized coach. Reflex and penalty area control exercises are maintained to ensure a stable exercise intensity. If Van Lam cannot play, the team will consider rotating personnel in the goalkeeper position.
This training session brings together many players who have just completed the most recent round of the V-League, so the physical condition between positions is different. The coaching staff adjusts the training program to gradually increase the intensity, limiting the risk of recurring injuries.
The Vietnamese team is expected to practice in Viet Tri for about a week before moving to Laos. Van Lam's ability to play will be determined based on his recovery progress and the assessment results from the medical team in the next training sessions.
