Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Can Dinh Tai emphasized that this was timely recognition of the sense of responsibility, professional competence, and dedication of the seconded officers, who made significant contributions to the completion of a particularly important political task of the Office of the President.

According to Comrade Can Dinh Tai, in accordance with the directives of the Politburo and the President , from the beginning of 2025, the Office of the President has determined that the handling of backlog death penalty cases is not only a purely professional task but also carries profound political, legal, and humanitarian significance, directly linked to human lives and the people's trust in the Party and the State. This is a field that demands special caution, absolutely no mistakes or subjective judgments are allowed in the advisory process.

In this context, seconded officials from the two central judicial agencies set aside their regular duties at their respective units and directly participated in the work at the Office of the President, coordinating closely with the Legal Department to carry out their assigned tasks. With a high sense of responsibility, professional dedication, and a serious work attitude, these officials meticulously studied each file, thoroughly compared all legal details, and engaged in careful and objective discussions, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and political requirements.

As a result, by 2025, 100% of the backlog of death penalty cases under the jurisdiction of the Office of the President had been reviewed, classified, and definitively processed. This is a significant achievement, demonstrating the close leadership and guidance of the President, the decisive management of the Office of the President's leadership, the responsible coordination of central judicial agencies, and also marking a clear mark of the seconded staff.
