According to Binh Phuoc geography, Ta Thiet Base Area is a national historical site in Loc Thanh commune, Loc Ninh district, with an area of about 3,500 hectares. During the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, the Regional Command base located in Ta Thiet was the last base established in the Southern battlefield. The base was built on a large scale with a solid system of tunnels and trenches, ensuring good training and combat. The base was the largest gathering point for troops from the North to the South to prepare for the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, the Great Victory of Spring 1975.
