The surveillance system has recorded a local increase in seasonal influenza, hand, foot and mouth disease and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in some localities. Many cases have required hospitalization at tertiary hospitals.
Faced with this development, the Ministry of Health requested localities to urgently strengthen monitoring, early detection of outbreaks, immediately implement measures to isolate and handle outbreaks to prevent widespread spread; promptly classify, isolate and treat when serious cases are detected, especially in high-risk groups such as children, the elderly and people with underlying diseases.
The Ministry of Health recommends that people: maintain personal hygiene, wash hands regularly, cover mouth when coughing or sneezing; wear masks in crowded places, avoid close contact with people with symptoms; ventilate living spaces, regularly clean the environment. In particular, when there are signs such as fever, cough, runny nose, fatigue, you should see a doctor early, do not take medicine on your own to limit complications.
