Organizing two solo exhibitions with dozens of large-scale lacquer paintings one year apart is a record for a young artist of the 9x generation like Chu Nhat Quang. It is even more meaningful when recently his work "Uncle Ho Reading the Declaration of Independence" at the Ho Chi Minh Museum was recognized by the Guinness World Record for the largest monolithic lacquer painting.

The work “Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence” is 2.4m wide, 7.2m long, weighs more than 3 tons, and is completely handcrafted, not assembled. This achievement has become the pride of the young artist and also a special milestone for Vietnamese lacquer art, when for the first time a Vietnamese work was recognized globally by Guinness.

In 2024, painter Chu Nhat Quang also launched the exhibition "Sacred Marks" at Thang Long Imperial Citadel with more than 50 large-scale lacquer works, creating a buzz in the art world.

Few people know that behind the success and efforts of young artist Chu Nhat Quang is the deep mark of his teacher, brother, artist Nguyen Thanh Tung, who always accompanies, inspires ideas and gives advice on every technical detail.
