Since childhood, Vo Khai Van has had a passion for plows and threshers when following his family to the fields during harvest season.
Born into a family with a farming tradition, with grandparents and uncles who were long-time farmers in the rural commune of Loi Binh Nhon, Tan An City, Long An Province, from a young age, Vo Khai Van had a passion for plows and threshers when following his family to the fields during the harvest season.
Growing up, after graduating from Tan An High School in his hometown, he studied at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, a prestigious school in the country for mechanics as well as automobile training. After graduating, Van and his like-minded brothers opened an auto repair garage in Thao Dien, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City to satisfy his childhood passion.
Promoting the family tradition (both parents are party members), Mr. Van married a wife who is also the child of a family with a revolutionary tradition, whose maternal grandfather was a martyr who sacrificed his life in the resistance war against America. When watching TV programs showing images of high-end, luxury and expensive cars in developed countries being professionally and systematically maintained and repaired, Mr. Van wondered how he could apply this to his garage so that Vietnam could also repair and maintain such cars.
After many years of working and studying actively, applying creativity and innovation according to the Party and State's policy of building a socialist-oriented market economy , Auto Institute Garage built by Mr. Van and his colleagues has mastered repair technology, carried out many large projects, repaired many famous car brands such as Cadillac, Land Rover, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, ... Thereby, it has contributed to raising the position of the country's auto repair industry, creating jobs for many workers, creating long-term sustainable values for society./.
