U22 Vietnam's reinforcements must practice separately before SEA Games

Three players Dinh Bac, Minh Phuc and Ly Duc still have to practice separately to recover, even though they are with the Vietnam U22 team.

On the afternoon of November 28, the U22 Vietnam team had all 28 players for the first time in the final training session in Ba Ria.

However, Dinh Bac, Minh Phuc and Ly Duc still have to practice separately on the field because they just played with Hanoi Police Club against Beijing Guoan (China) in the AFC Champions League Two 2025-2026 at Hang Day Stadium on the evening of November 27.

Striker Dinh Bac entered the field at the beginning of the second half and was the one who scored the winning goal 2-1 for the Hanoi Police Club. Defender Minh Phuc entered the field as a substitute in the 71st minute. Meanwhile, center back Ly Duc only sat on the bench.

Coach Kim Sang Sik is in no hurry with these 3 players. Because Dinh Bac, Minh Phuc and Ly Duc need to prioritize rest, avoid overload or unfortunate injuries, while the day to go to Thailand to participate in SEA Games 33 is approaching.

During the training session, coach Kim Sang Sik prioritized the players to practice coordination in a narrow area, before entering the tactical training session.

Since this is also the last training session of the Vietnam U22 team before entering the internal match tomorrow afternoon (November 29), the Korean coach is very interested in the performance of his students.

Choosing who to replace Van Truong and which 5 players to eliminate are things that coach Kim Sang Sik must consider before announcing the list of 23 players participating in SEA Games 33 tomorrow. At this time, the midfield and attack are the two places with the most players that need to be screened.

According to plan, the Vietnam U22 team will leave for Thailand at noon on December 1. Two days later, the team will play their opening match against Laos U22 at Rajamangala Stadium.

Coach Kim Sang Sik and his team's goal is not only to beat U22 Laos, but also to win big to create an advantage before entering the final match of the group stage with U22 Malaysia on December 11.
