Not only is it an opportunity for students to show off their talents, “Viet dieu trang thanh” also contributes to cultural education, helping students understand and appreciate the value of Vietnamese folk art. Through the process of learning, practicing and performing, students can directly experience the traditional music space, learn to appreciate beauty and spread love for the national cultural heritage.

The competition will take place from November 2025 to January 2026. After the preliminary round by submitting videos , excellent performances will be selected for the intensive training round under the guidance of artists and folk music teachers. The final round is expected to be held at Ben Thanh Theater, with a total prize value of up to 230 million VND.

According to Ms. Huynh Le Nhu Trang, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, “Viet dieu trang thanh” is part of the comprehensive educational development orientation of Ho Chi Minh City, where each student is encouraged to know how to play and participate in at least one art form.

Aiming for the goal that by 2030, 100% of students in Ho Chi Minh City will be able to play at least one musical instrument or art form, “Viet dieu trang thanh” is expected to become a model in bringing traditional arts into schools, so that traditional music is not only a lesson but also a source of inspiration to nurture the Vietnamese soul for future generations.
