Director of the Trade Promotion Agency ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) Vu Ba Phu emphasized that fluctuations in the world economy, green transformation trends, supply chain shifts or the explosion of digital trade open up opportunities for Vietnamese goods to penetrate deeper into high-quality markets.
Vietnam is possessing a favorable opportunity to increase its export market share while exports are continuously a bright spot of the economy . In the first 10 months of 2025, Vietnam had a trade surplus of nearly 20 billion USD. It is expected that the whole year can reach the milestone of export and import turnover of over 900 billion USD, the highest level ever.
High-value markets such as the US, EU, Japan, the Middle East, Africa, etc. still have large untapped potential.
To go further, businesses need to focus on three factors: Standardizing processes - transparent origins - proactive digital transformation. This is also the focus of "Go Global", demonstrating the determination of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in supporting businesses to expand their markets with new thinking, new models and approaches suitable for green trade and digital trade trends.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade is developing a “Program to reach out to international markets for the period 2026-2035 (Go Global)” to support businesses in the direction of leading value chains, standardizing export standards and strongly applying digital technology to trade promotion.
Within the framework of the event, two in-depth discussion sessions were held, focusing on the following topics: Export model innovation, green transformation, value chain upgrading, optimizing advantages from new generation FTAs, trade risk management and strategic market expansion. Experts assessed that these will be important "leverages" to help businesses increase their global competitiveness.
The Vietnam Export Promotion Forum 2025 is expected to continue to be an annual meeting point, helping businesses grasp market trends, connect with partners and seek new business opportunities in the context of strong restructuring of the international supply chain.
