Vietnam: Bright spot for growth and investment opportunities

(HTV) - The seminar "Attraction of asset classes" recently took place in Hanoi. The event evaluated and analyzed the overall picture of the financial and investment market in 2025.

Despite the many fluctuations in the world economy , Vietnam has maintained macroeconomic stability and maintained impressive growth momentum. Its position as a sustainable "bright spot of growth" has been affirmed, with an economic scale of nearly 500 billion USD. Not only stopping at traditional markets, new asset classes are creating a strong wave of transformation. These assets include blockchain, digital assets, and alternative investment funds.

According to experts, the increasingly transparent legal framework, along with the expected formation of an International Financial Center, will contribute significantly to affirming Vietnam's position on the regional and global financial map.

The seminar also forecasts trends and strategies for the 2026 period in the context of deep integration and strong transformation.

Sharing about this trend, Mr. Giap Van Dai - Founder and CEO of Nami Foundation, said that the more companies demonstrate their legal transparency, the more investment capital they will attract. He commented: "Transparency factors will be the upcoming trend. And blockchain will contribute to this transparency".

From a macro perspective, Mr. Vu Viet Linh - Deputy Director of Institutional Client Analysis Department, Maybank Investment Bank, said that there are three main factors that Vietnam needs to focus on. These are "enhancing foreign exchange reserve buffer, improving the quality of the legal framework and enhancing the resilience of the banking system".

While the medium- and long-term outlook is positive, experts still recommend that the performance of each asset class be closely monitored. This is necessary so that investors can choose the portfolio that best suits their risk appetite.
