Vietnam is a responsible and trustworthy friend, always standing side by side with the people of Myanmar.

From December 6-7, representatives of the Embassy and the Vietnam Business Club in Myanmar (VBCM) made a charity trip to support and share difficulties with the Myanmar people in South Shan State.

Representatives of the Embassy and the Vietnam Business Club in Myanmar made a charity trip to help the people of Myanmar.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Loc, First Secretary, Embassy and VBCM member enterprises including Mytel (directly Mytel branch in South Shan), Viettel Construction Myanmar (VCM), SONHA, StreamNet... support people in the Inle Lake area, South Shan State.

At Pinlaung Primary School, the delegation sponsored the construction and repair of classrooms and presented 70 gifts including books, pens and learning tools to encourage the children's learning spirit.

At Thalae Oo Monastery, Inle Lake area, the delegation donated 21 Son Ha water tanks to serve the domestic water needs of 21 lakeside villages; at the same time, provided direct cash support to 157 households with the most difficult circumstances in these villages.

At the YGW orphanage in Taunggyi, where about 200 children are living and studying in conditions lacking electricity, water and learning equipment, the delegation (directly VCM) installed, tested and handed over the solar power system; at the same time, presented learning equipment, milk, diapers, rice, cooking oil and candy to the children.

Myanmar people in the area expressed their appreciation for the sincere sentiments and sharing from the Embassy and the Vietnamese business community. Many people were grateful, saying that this support not only helps improve their lives in the short term, but also has long-term significance for their livelihoods and community development.

This activity, once again, demonstrates the traditional solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Myanmar, and at the same time contributes to strengthening the image of Vietnam as a responsible and trustworthy friend who always stands side by side with the people of Myanmar during difficult times.

For VBCM businesses, this is also an opportunity to affirm their commitment to accompanying the sustainable development of the local community.

In July 2025, the Embassy and VBCM delegation donated 26 houses, 10 clean water tanks with a capacity of 10,000 liters of water, wells and clean water systems to serve 3 villages in Mandalay and Sagaing.
