Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc respectfully conveyed the greetings of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and other Party and State leaders to Comrade Sonexay Siphandone and other senior Lao leaders.
At the meeting, the Lao Prime Minister congratulated Vietnam on its outstanding achievements in recent times, especially in maintaining stable economic growth; and affirmed that the Lao Party and State always attach importance to fostering the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
The Deputy Prime Minister warmly congratulated the Lao Party, State and people on their important and comprehensive achievements in domestic and foreign affairs of historical significance, marking the journey of national construction and development, towards the 50th anniversary of Lao National Day this year; the economic recovery has had many positive changes, the material and spiritual life of the people has been constantly improved, and the prestige and position of Laos in the region and internationally has been increasingly affirmed.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people will continue to reap new and greater achievements and successfully organize the 12th National Congress of the Party in 2026.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc reported to the Lao Prime Minister on the results of his talks with Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith, according to which the two sides comprehensively assessed the cooperation situation between the two countries in recent times; reviewed the implementation of key cooperation projects; discussed measures to remove difficulties and obstacles; and directed relevant ministries and branches of the two countries to closely coordinate, determined to develop the Vietnam - Laos relationship substantially and sustainably in the new period.
The two sides have agreed on a number of key contents and major groups of solutions for a number of specific projects; to date, many projects of Vietnamese enterprises have been effectively implemented in a variety of fields such as agriculture, forestry, trade, finance, telecommunications, construction, energy, services and production.
Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone suggested that the two sides continue to coordinate closely, prepare well for visits by high-ranking leaders in the coming time, and strengthen defense, security and diplomatic cooperation to jointly deal with new challenges; strengthen the connection between the two economies, creating favorable conditions for the implementation of high-level agreements signed by the two countries; emphasize that the two sides need to continue to coordinate closely, review and promote the implementation of cooperation projects; coordinate the organization of important commemorative activities of the two countries in 2025; increase information sharing, close coordination, and mutual support at international, regional forums and sub-regional mechanisms...
On the same afternoon, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc visited and worked with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, emphasizing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries; informed the Embassy about the purpose and results of the working visit to Laos; and shared some key points about the recent domestic situation. The Deputy Prime Minister praised the efforts of the staff of the Embassy and the agencies affiliated to the Embassy in overcoming difficulties and successfully completing the foreign affairs tasks assigned by the Party and State.

On behalf of the Embassy and its agencies, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam expressed his gratitude to the Party, the State, as well as Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc personally for their attention to the Embassy's staff, thereby encouraging the Embassy's staff to be determined to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and the State. The Embassy's staff always believe in the Party and State's guidelines and policies, as well as the country's increasingly rising position and belief in the path in the new era, the era of rising up and prosperous development of Vietnam.
