"Vietnam always wants to develop relations with traditional friendly countries"

VOV.VN - Head of the Central External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung said that this year marks the 65th anniversary of the National Day of the Republic of Cuba (January 1, 1959 - January 1, 2024) and the two countries are also preparing to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1960. Through this visit, we affirm the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress, including attaching great importance to and always wanting to develop relations with traditional friendly countries.

At the invitation of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba,President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez and his wife, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife and a high-ranking delegation of our country will pay a State visit to Cuba. Responding to the press, Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Central Party Committee, Head of the Central External Relations Commission, said that this is Comrade To Lam's first visit to Cuba in his capacity as General Secretary and President. Cuba is also one of the countries that General Secretary and President To Lam will soon visit.

Mr. Le Hoai Trung added that this year marks the 65th anniversary of the National Day of the Republic of Cuba (January 1, 1959 - January 1, 2024) and the two countries are also preparing to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2025.

"Through this visit, the Party, the State of Vietnam, the General Secretary and the President personally want to affirm the solidarity and special spirit of friendship with the Party, the State and the people of Cuba," emphasized Mr. Le Hoai Trung. According to the Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, the leaders will evaluate the achievements and results of cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba in recent times and propose directions to strengthen and improve the effectiveness of comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba. "Through this visit, we affirm the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress, including the utmost importance and desire to develop relations with traditional friendly countries," affirmed Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission Le Hoai Trung.
