The information was announced on January 21, 2026, in Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City. The agreement was implemented through the global sports marketing company IMG between UFC® (part of TKO Group Holdings) andFPT Play, the television service brand of FPT Group. Accordingly, from January 1, 2026, FPT Play will be the sole broadcaster of UFC® events throughout Vietnam.

According to the signed agreement, FPT Play will broadcast live all UFC Numbered and Fight Nights events, starting with UFC® 324: Gaethje vs. Pimblet 2 on Sunday, January 25, 2026. In addition, Vietnamese viewers will have access to many exclusive UFC® programs such as UFC Countdown, UFC Connected, and ROAD TO UFC – a tournament that provides opportunities for promising MMA fighters from the Asia- Pacific region to enter the UFC arena.
Speaking at the partnership announcement ceremony, Kevin Chang, Senior Vice President and Regional Director for Asia of UFC®, said he was thrilled to usher in a new era of UFC® in Vietnam. "With many emerging local talents, Vietnam is becoming one of the most vibrant and passionate MMA markets in the region," he added.
In addition, Kevin Chang emphasized that the collaboration with FPT in Vietnam has opened up opportunities for domestic fans to access UFC more fully and conveniently than ever before.
On behalf of FPT Play, Ms. To Nam Phuong, Deputy General Director of FPT Play, FPT Group, affirmed that the cooperation with UFC is an important step in the strategy to improve the quality of sports content.
"We aim to bring the most exciting martial arts events in the world to Vietnamese audiences, with a convenient, high-quality, multi-platform viewing experience," Ms. To Nam Phuong further affirmed.
According to the cooperation agreement, UFC events will be distributed by FPT Play across various platforms, including terrestrial television, cable television, IPTV, OTT, the Internet, mobile devices, and social media platforms, while also allowing public screenings nationwide. The programs will be broadcast with Vietnamese commentary to enhance the viewing experience for domestic audiences.
With this exclusive partnership agreement, UFC has further opportunities to expand its presence and achieve sustainable growth in the Vietnamese market – a promising destination for MMA in the region. The collaboration between the two brands is expected to create new momentum for the development of MMA in Vietnam, while also bringing long-term value to both businesses.
