The Customs Branch of Region II recently held a reception for the delegation of the Korean Consulate General and the Korean Customs General Department during their working trip to Vietnam. The visit is considered an important milestone in the process of enhancing cooperation between the customs agencies of the two countries.
At the reception, the leader of the Customs Branch of Region II affirmed that the visit has practical significance in the context of the strong development of Vietnam - Korea trade relations and the increasingly expanding cooperation between the two customs agencies.

After the merger, the Customs Branch of Region II now manages three key areas including Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau . This is an area with a large concentration of Korean enterprises operating in the fields of production, export and import. The Branch is committed to always accompanying and supporting Korean enterprises to carry out customs procedures smoothly, transparently and in compliance with legal regulations.
Over the past years, cooperation between Vietnam and Korea Customs has achieved many positive results through sharing expertise, exchanging experiences and coordinating to resolve difficulties in the customs clearance process, with the close support of the Korean Consulate General, especially the Customs Counselor.
In the coming time, the two sides plan to establish a direct communication channel to promptly handle arising difficulties; at the same time, promote cooperation in digital transformation, risk management and information sharing. These are important steps towards the goal of shortening customs clearance time and creating a favorable business environment for enterprises of the two countries.
