Vietbank donates nearly 1 billion VND to support people and students in flood-affected areas

DNO - On the morning of November 29, Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Vietbank) organized a ceremony to present 1,000 gifts to poor students and households that suffered heavy losses due to floods in the wards of Hoi An, Hoi An Tay and Dien Ban.

From the mobilization of staff and the bank's welfare fund, Vietbank representatives presented gifts including: 10kg of rice/household, school backpacks and cash to help people stabilize their lives soon.

Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tuan, Director of Vietbank Region 3, said that this is the program "Towards the beloved Central region" in a series of meaningful volunteer activities, sharing difficulties with the people of the Central region in Da Nang city, Quang Ngai and Gia Lai provinces.

In the spirit of mutual love, Vietbank launched an internal donation, calling on all staff to join hands to contribute nearly 1 billion VND.

The program "Towards the beloved Central region" directly presented a total of 3,600 gifts and cash support to disadvantaged households and students in Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Gia Lai .

The gifts include: 30 tons of rice, 600 school backpacks and 360 million VND in cash for households and students who suffered heavy damage due to natural disasters in late October and early November.
