Speaking at the program, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong emphasized: In recent times, the banking sector has continuously strived to fulfill its nhiệm vụ, contributing to maintaining macroeconomic stability and supporting socio-economic development nationwide. The sector has mobilized capital and channeled funds to businesses, households, and people in all regions across the country to support production and business activities.
With a spirit of mutual support and compassion, the banking sector has always been at the forefront and responsible in social welfare work, focusing on the poor, policy beneficiary families, especially in remote, mountainous, and border areas. In particular, in 2025, the sector allocated over 2,000 billion VND to implement social welfare programs, most notably the program to support people and localities in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods, and the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses initiated by the Prime Minister .

Representing VietinBank , General Director Nguyen Tran Manh Trung presented over 7,000 Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts worth more than 3.5 billion VND to disadvantaged families in Son La province.
At the event, General Director Nguyen Tran Manh Trung, on behalf of the VietinBank leadership, presented over 7,000 Tet gifts for the Lunar New Year 2026, worth more than 3.5 billion VND, to policy beneficiary families, poor households, near-poor households, and households with particularly difficult circumstances in Son La province.
Comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province - respectfully thanked the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam and commercial banks for their profound concern for poor households and policy beneficiary families in the province through the meaningful social welfare gift-giving program. This is a great source of encouragement, contributing to helping people overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and rise out of poverty sustainably.
