From the end of April 2025, Vietjet Ground Services Operations Center (VJGS) has taken over ground services at Tan Son Nhat Airport, from check-in procedures, passenger and baggage transportation services within the airport, as well as other airport services…, a further step in the journey to complete the aviation service chain.
With experience in ground handling services at Noi Bai Airport, Hanoi since 2020, and having received IATA's (ISAGO) certification for safety and quality standards in ground operations from 2024, Vietjet has prepared over 1,000 personnel to support the handover of operations at Tan Son Nhat Airport. This is in addition to investing in a comprehensive system of ground equipment to ensure smooth service for flights. To date, Vietjet has independently handled all domestic and international flights to and from Tan Son Nhat Airport, leading the industry and significantly improving on-time performance.
VJ has reviewed and updated its operational procedures, coordination between relevant departments at the airport, takeoff and landing procedures, baggage handling, etc., to suit the significantly increased passenger volume.
