Vietnam Airlines accompanies Dien Bien National Tourism Year 2024

Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines will double the current flight frequency, increasing the number of flights from Hanoi to Dien Bien per day to 2 flights during the period from March 6 to March 30, 2024. The airline will operate flights VN1804 and VN1806 departing from Hanoi at 1:05 p.m. and 2:05 p.m.; flights VN1805 and VN1807 departing from Dien Bien at 2:40 p.m. and 3:40 p.m.

Dien Bien National Tourism Year 2024 has the theme "Glory of Dien Bien Phu - Endless Experience" associated with the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024). 169 attractive programs and activities will take place throughout 2024, with the highlight being the Ban Flower Festival with the theme "Returning to the Ban Flower Land" opening on March 16.

In addition, many interesting activities and experiences will be held at the festival such as: Offering incense at the Martyrs' Temple at Dien Bien battlefield; Admiring the live show of legends, history and culture of the Thai ethnic group; Experiencing the cultural space of the highlands; Enjoying the Thai Xoe and Mong flute art festival...

In addition to the unique festival activities, Dien Bien province also attracts tourists with famous historical sites and the colorful cultural picture of 19 ethnic groups. This is also a land with rich potential for resorts, health care, nature exploration... loved by domestic and international tourists. According to expectations, Dien Bien National Tourism Year 2024 will attract 1.3 million visitors to this place.

Previously, in December 2023, Vietnam Airlines officially put the modern Airbus A321 jet into operation on the Hanoi - Dien Bien route, solving the problem of traffic transportation and becoming one of the important milestones of the Vietnamese aviation industry. The number of passengers flying between Hanoi and Dien Bien then in the last months of 2023 and early 2024 grew impressively, doubling compared to the same period before the pandemic.

By increasing flights to Dien Bien, Vietnam Airlines affirms the role of the National Airline in accompanying the Government and localities in promoting the National Tourism Year, becoming an effective bridge to bring tourists to explore the Northwest region, shortening time and distance as well as making transportation and circulation of goods easier.
