Vietnam Airlines accompanies Vietnamese sports at SEA Games 33 and ASEAN Para Games 13

The 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33) will be held from December 9 to December 20, 2025 in Thailand, with the participation of about 1,000 Vietnamese athletes competing in 38/54 sports. Immediately after, the 13th Southeast Asian Para Games (ASEAN Para Games 13) will be held from January 20 to January 26, 2026, with 200 Vietnamese athletes expected to participate.

Continuing its journey of accompanying the country's sports, Vietnam Airlines continues to take on the role of official carrier of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 33rd SEA Games and the 13th ASEAN Para Games. Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines provides free 3 tons of luggage for the participating officials and athletes, including checked baggage and special luggage for competitions.

Vietnam Airlines arranges flights with reasonable travel times to ensure the health of athletes and delegation officials. As in previous SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games, the farewell ceremony will continue to be organized thoughtfully and solemnly at Noi Bai airport to encourage the athletes' competitive spirit before departure.

At the same time, the airline will arrange priority check-in counters and increase support staff at Noi Bai, Da Nang , Tan Son Nhat and Bangkok airports, ensuring smooth, safe and on-schedule travel.

Over the years, Vietnam Airlines has become a trusted partner of Vietnamese sports at the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games. The foundation for this companionship is the long-term cooperation relationship between Vietnam Airlines and the Department of Sports and Physical Training, established before 2010 and further strengthened by the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement for the period 2024-2028 signed on December 18, 2023.

On the basis of that cooperation, Vietnam Airlines has stood side by side with sports delegations in many international arenas such as SEA Games, ASEAN Para Games, ASIAD, Olympics, Paralympics Paris, most recently the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.
