Vietnam Airlines accompanies Vietnamese sports at the 33rd SEA Games and the 13th ASEAN Para Games.

The 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33) will be held from December 9-20, 2025 in Thailand, with the participation of approximately 1000 Vietnamese athletes competing in 38 out of 54 sports. Immediately following this, the 13th Southeast Asian Para Games (ASEAN Para Games 13) will be held from January 20-26, 2026, with an expected 200 Vietnamese athletes participating.

Continuing its journey of supporting Vietnamese sports, Vietnam Airlines continues to serve as the official carrier for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 33rd SEA Games and the 13th ASEAN Para Games. Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines is providing a free baggage allowance of 3 tons for the participating officials and athletes, including checked baggage and specialized baggage for competition.

Vietnam Airlines is arranging flights with reasonable travel times to ensure the health of athletes and delegation officials. As in previous SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games, a farewell ceremony will continue to be held thoughtfully and respectfully at Noi Bai Airport to encourage the athletes' competitive spirit before their departure.

At the same time, the airline will arrange priority check-in counters and increase support staff at Noi Bai, Da Nang , Tan Son Nhat, and Bangkok airports, ensuring smooth, safe, and on-schedule travel.

The foundation for this partnership is the long-standing cooperation between Vietnam Airlines and the Department of Physical Education and Sports, established before 2010 and further strengthened by the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement for the period 2024-2028 signed on December 18, 2023.

Based on that cooperation, Vietnam Airlines has stood alongside sports delegations at many international competitions such as the SEA Games, ASEAN Para Games, ASIAD, the Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games in Paris, and most recently, the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.
