Vietnam Airlines plans to reopen the Vinh – Da Nang route during the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse).

DNVN - From February 12th to 28th, Vietnam Airlines plans to resume daily flights on the Vinh – Da Nang (VII – DAD) route and vice versa, serving the peak travel period during the 2026 Lunar New Year.

According to a representative from Vietnam Airlines , with Vinh International Airport reopening on December 19, 2025, after more than six months of temporary closure for infrastructure upgrades, Vietnam Airlines is gradually restoring and expanding its flight network connecting Nghe An with major tourism and economic centers nationwide.

Vietnam Airlines plans to reopen the Vinh - Da Nang route during the Lunar New Year holiday of 2026 (Year of the Horse).

In addition to the regular Vinh – Hanoi and Vinh – Ho Chi Minh City routes, the airline plans to restore the Vinh – Da Nang (VII – DAD) route and vice versa during the Lunar New Year 2026 to meet the increasing demand for travel, tourism , and visiting relatives in the North Central region.

According to the planned operation schedule, the Vinh – Da Nang (VII – DAD) and Da Nang – Vinh (DAD – VII) routes will be implemented during two peak periods of the 2026 Lunar New Year. These include from February 12th to 15th, 2026 (corresponding to the 25th to 28th of the 12th lunar month); and from February 18th to 28th (corresponding to the 2nd to 12th day of the 1st lunar month).

On the Vinh – Da Nang route, the flight is scheduled to depart at 13:05 and land at 14:10. On the Da Nang – Vinh route, the flight is scheduled to depart at 7:00 and land at 08:05.

According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, this is a positive sign for the city's tourism during the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026. The city is currently continuing to enhance its attractiveness as a destination, expanding experiential spaces associated with Hoi An, the My Son temple complex, and other culturally rich satellite areas, thereby diversifying choices and extending the length of stay for tourists during Tet.

According to Nguyen Thi Hong Tham, Director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, Nghe An is one of the localities with a large population, playing an important connecting role in the North Central region, with a high demand for travel, tourism, and visiting relatives during peak seasons at the beginning of the year.

Vietnam Airlines' direct flight route between Vinh and Da Nang (VII – DAD) will create an additional convenient connection channel, expanding accessibility to Da Nang for the regional market; helping to shorten travel time and increase flexibility for family groups, short-term tourists, and those combining visiting relatives and leisure.
