Vietnam Airlines expands its domestic flight network from Hai Phong.

To enhance air connectivity between regions and diversify its domestic flight network, Vietnam Airlines will launch four new routes connecting Hai Phong with key tourism and economic centers nationwide starting in early February 2026.

Accordingly, from February 1st, 2026, Vietnam Airlines will officially operate four new routes connecting Hai Phong with Buon Ma Thuot, Cam Ranh (Nha Trang), Phu Quoc, and Can Tho airports.

Specifically, the Hai Phong - Cam Ranh route operates with a frequency of one round-trip flight per day. The Hai Phong - Can Tho and Hai Phong - Buon Ma Thuot routes operate four round-trip flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The Hai Phong - Phu Quoc route operates three round-trip flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

With the launch of these new routes, Vietnam Airlines increases the total number of domestic routes connecting Hai Phong to six, significantly expanding the network of direct connections from the port city to key areas across the country.

During the initial phase of operation, Vietnam Airlines is offering promotional fares on these routes starting from 359,000 VND/one-way (excluding taxes and fees).

Hai Phong is currently one of the major industrial, logistics, and seaport centers in the northern region, and plays a crucial role as a gateway for trade in the Northern coastal region. The operation of direct flights from Hai Phong to southern and Central Highlands localities helps shorten travel time, thereby providing greater convenience for residents, businesses, and tourists in the region.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Trung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, said: “The expansion of routes from Hai Phong demonstrates the role of the national airline in accompanying localities, bringing air travel closer to the people, and opening up the possibility of direct connections from Hai Phong to major tourist centers such as Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, the Central Highlands and the Mekong Delta, and vice versa, thereby promoting exchange and socio-economic development between Hai Phong and other regions across the country.”

The launch of new routes from Hai Phong is part of Vietnam Airlines' strategy to develop a sustainable domestic flight network. In the context of a restructuring aviation market, the airline is proactively researching and implementing products tailored to the specific characteristics of each locality, contributing to expanding the development space of the domestic flight network alongside traditional routes.

In the coming period, Vietnam Airlines will continue to closely monitor market developments and passenger demand to make appropriate adjustments, aiming to develop an efficient and sustainable domestic flight network, making a positive contribution to the economic and social development of localities and the whole country.
