Vietnam Airlines increases flights to serve the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse).

According to information from Vietnam Airlines, during the peak period from February 9th to March 3rd, 2026 (i.e., from the 22nd day of the 12th lunar month to the 15th day of the 1st lunar month), the airline will offer an additional 60,000 seats on nearly 300 flights to serve the travel, visiting relatives, and spring holiday needs of passengers nationwide.

The routes with increased capacity in this phase include: Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi , Vinh, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Hue, Chu Lai, Buon Ma Thuot, Pleiku, Tuy Hoa, Quy Nhon, and Phu Quoc.

Previously, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam had requested airlines to proactively ensure market forecasting capabilities; develop passenger transport plans, optimize the efficiency of aircraft fleet operation, and create flight schedules; and operate flight schedules in strict compliance with confirmed slots (take-off and landing times).

At the same time, monitor booking and ticket sales to promptly adjust flight schedules and add or increase flights on routes with high demand.
