Viettel joins India's defense and high-tech product supply network

On November 10, within the framework of the 2025 Defense and Security Exhibition held in Thailand, Viettel Equipment Manufacturing Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Ordefence Systems Limited (part of Adani - India's leading private corporation), to develop and expand the supply network of defense and high-tech products.

This is an important step in Viettel 's strategy to enhance defense capabilities and expand the global market.

Colonel Nguyen Vu Ha, Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, witnessed the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between Viettel Equipment Manufacturing Corporation and Ordefence.

According to the agreement, Viettel Equipment Manufacturing Corporation and Ordefence aim to build a strategic cooperation relationship in research and development of new generation defense and security solutions, while promoting the commercialization of dual-use products in Vietnam and potential international markets.

Taking advantage of domestic production, the two enterprises plan to deploy the OEM model (the company manufactures products according to the requirements and designs of the partner, then the products are sold under the brand of that partner) combined with technology transfer and mastery of systems, components and modules of Ordefence's product line.

In addition, the cooperation orientation also includes in-depth training activities, knowledge and experience sharing and expert exchange, contributing to improving technological capacity and building a high-quality human resource team. With a strong international partnership network, Ordefence will accompany Viettel to expand its distribution channels and penetrate deeper into the global defense supply chain.

Viettel Equipment Manufacturing Corporation and Ordefence exchanged strategic cooperation agreement documents

Viettel's signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with Ordefence marks an important step forward in the strategy of integration and expansion of international cooperation in the field of defense industry.

Known as one of India's largest conglomerates, Adani has a strong presence in the international market with a revenue of $37.2 billion in 2024. In the Adani ecosystem, Ordefence Systems Limited is a strategic subsidiary in the defense sector, specializing in providing advanced security equipment and weapons to the armed forces.

Through the cooperation, Ordefence shares core technology, development experience, and transfers production of high-tech product lines suitable to the capacity of Viettel Equipment Manufacturing Corporation. The two sides also coordinate in design, professional and technical training and commercial feasibility assessment for each solution.
