The VinFuture Awards organizing committee officially announces the launch of its 6th season and begins accepting nominations for scientific and technological projects from the global scientific community.
According to the organizers, the deadline for submitting nominations for the VinFuture Awards 2026 is 2:00 PM on April 17th (Vietnam time).
International stature and connections to prestigious awards.
Nominated scientific and technological works, inventions, or solutions must demonstrate their ability to bring practical benefits to millions of people and must be endorsed by reputable organizations or individuals in the field of science and technology worldwide .
Nominations will undergo a multi-round screening and selection process, involving the Preliminary Judging Panel and the VinFuture Awards Panel.
These two councils bring together many of the world's leading scientists, including recipients of prestigious science awards such as the Nobel, Turing, and Millennium Technology Prizes.
The organizers announced that the judging process is expected to be completed in September. The 6th VinFuture Awards ceremony will be held in early December.
Nominations submitted after the April 17 deadline will automatically be considered for the 2027 season.
To provide comprehensive information and strengthen connections with its global network of nominating partners, the VinFuture Foundation will organize two online workshops in Q1/2026.
The workshops will feature presentations and sharing from representatives of the Awards Council, the Preliminary Judging Panel, and the VinFuture Award winners. The first online workshop is scheduled to take place at 8:00 AM on January 26, 2026 (Hanoi time).
Alongside the award selection process, in 2026, VinFuture will continue to implement the Partner Nomination Appreciation Program. This program aims to recognize the role and contributions of scientists in discovering and introducing scientific and technological works and solutions that have a positive impact on humanity for the VinFuture Award.
After five consecutive seasons, the VinFuture Awards have affirmed their increasingly significant influence within the global science and technology community.
To date, the award has received a total of 6,132 nominations from nearly 110 countries and territories, honoring 48 outstanding scientists whose work has had a profound and lasting impact on humanity.
Many of the works honored by VinFuture have gone on to be recognized at leading international science awards, including the Nobel Prize. According to the organizers, this is proof of the academic quality, predictive power, and long-term impact of the research selected and honored by the VinFuture Award.
The projects that have been awarded the VinFuture Prize are associated with many important milestones in scientific and technological progress, ranging from global network technology, PERC solar cells, lithium-ion battery energy storage technology, artificial intelligence, to essential fields such as sustainable agriculture, healthcare, and environmental protection.

In addition, VinFuture's network of nominating partners is constantly expanding, now reaching nearly 15,000 scientists worldwide. This network plays a crucial role in connecting, disseminating information, and ensuring diversity and objectivity in the award's nominations.
Sharing his thoughts on the 2026 season, Dr. Le Thai Ha, Executive Director of the VinFuture Foundation, said that after 5 years of formation and development, VinFuture has gradually affirmed its position as one of the world-class science awards.
According to her, VinFuture not only celebrates outstanding scientific values but also places a strong emphasis on social responsibility and the long-term benefit of humanity.
“Entering the 2026 season, we expect the nominations to continue to demonstrate that science and technology are the key to comprehensively addressing global challenges. This will drive groundbreaking solutions with widespread applicability and create positive, sustainable impacts on a global scale,” emphasized Dr. Le Thai Ha.
With its growing international prestige, the VinFuture Award is recognized as having contributed to making Vietnam a hub for global knowledge and scientific cooperation.
Many international partners and scientists in the VinFuture network have come to Vietnam to participate in academic exchanges, share professional experiences, and strengthen connections with the domestic scientific community.
Through this network, Vietnamese scientists also have more opportunities to access and collaborate with international colleagues, jointly creating scientific and technological solutions aimed at sustainable development for Vietnam and humanity.
