Quang Ninh Ha Long Bay is the only representative in Vietnam in the top 24 must-visit destinations in 2024 worldwide .
OvationNetwork, a luxury travel company in the US, shared a list of the 24 best destinations in the world to travel to in 2024 on Forbes magazine in early October.
Zane Bohrer, vice president and general manager of OvationNetwork, said the demand for travel continues this year. Next year, travelers will seek deeper, more experiential connections with destinations than ever before. This is also the reason why OvationNetwork experts have released a list of suggested destinations for travelers in 2024 based on a new criterion, the perfect combination of natural beauty, outdoor activities, cuisine and daily life.

Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province is the only representative of Vietnam on the list and ranks 24th. "The reason to visit Ha Long Bay? Because this is a UNESCO-recognized world heritage site, one of the places with the most unique ecosystems and geological formations in the world," OvationNetwork commented.
Whether you're a foodie or an adventurer, Ha Long Bay "has something to offer," says Andrew Lewis Harrison, an American travel consultant. Visitors are advised to take a wooden boat tour of the bay. "If you're worried about crowds, you can book a trip north to nearby Bai Tu Long Bay," Harrison suggests.
This is not the first time Ha Long Bay has been listed among the world's must-see destinations. In 2023, Quang Ninh's representative was also listed among CNN's top 25 most beautiful destinations on the planet.
Ha Long Bay is located in the northeast of Vietnam, 165 km from the capital Hanoi, with an area of over 1,550 km2, with 980 named islands. It has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage. The bay is home to many rocky islands, caves and beautiful beaches.
Other Asian destinations in the top 24 include Niseko Japan, Jeju Island South Korea, Orkhon Valley Mongolia, Goa India, Tangalle Sri Lanka, Pokhara Nepal.
