Vinh Long is stepping up the promotion of agricultural products and OCOP products on digital platforms.

On January 16th and 17th, the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long province, in coordination with the People's Committee of Cho Lach commune, Viettel Post Vinh Long, and TikTok Shop Vietnam, organized the program "Vinh Long Agricultural Products Journey - Bringing Spring Home".

Local government leaders participate in livestream sales to help farmers.

This program is one of the activities implementing the plan "Promoting the consumption of local agricultural products and specialties through the network of KOCs/KOLs on digital platforms in Vinh Long province," aiming to support the promotion and introduction of local agricultural products, specialties, OCOP products, and typical ornamental plants on digital platforms.

Through live streaming of online sales, the program contributes to connecting the consumption of agricultural products for people, cooperatives, and farmers; while also raising awareness and skills in digital transformation and e-commerce for agricultural production and business households in the area, especially during the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026.

This year, due to favorable weather conditions causing the flowers to bloom earlier than usual, and before traders could place orders, the local authorities proactively supported product sales through online livestreaming sessions.

Through these broadcast sessions, farmers are guided and given hands-on practice in various skills such as creating livestream scripts, introducing products, advising and interacting with customers.

This provides a foundation for people to gradually master selling products on digital platforms and expand their consumer market. At the same time, traders from other localities who watch the livestream gain more information to proactively place large orders, contributing to stabilizing the output for farmers.

According to Le Thi Hoang Oanh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Cho Lach commune, the application of digital platforms in agricultural product consumption has helped people change their mindset and production and business habits.

This helps farmers reduce their worries about "bumper harvests leading to low prices," minimizes the risk of being exploited by traders, and gives them more control in finding and expanding markets for their products.

Chrysanthemum products that meet OCOP 3-star standards are being sold via livestream.

The "Vinh Long Agricultural Products Journey - Bringing Spring Home" program is expected to strongly promote online shopping and cashless payments; gradually forming civilized and modern consumption habits, contributing to expanding sustainable markets for local agricultural products and specialties through the nationwide network of KOCs/KOLs.

In addition to online sales, the program also organizes experiential activities at bonsai gardens, where artisans directly demonstrate techniques for pruning, shaping, and caring for trees, and introduce characteristic bonsai styles.

Visitors were given the opportunity to tour, film, and record videos at the pomelo orchards and chrysanthemum gardens; they also listened to farmers share their planting and care processes to create high-quality products for the Tet market.
