Two typical models are Phan Quang Dang business household with the Project "Supporting the application of advanced machinery and equipment in the production of automatic rice paper" and Nha Farm business household - Tra Vinh Green Coconut Farm with the Project "Supporting the application of advanced machinery and equipment in the production of coconut fiber and coconut peat". Both models were implemented by the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion of Vinh Long province in 2025 and have proven to be effective in practice.

Before receiving support, Phan Quang Dang business household still produced rice paper using semi-manual methods. The steps of spreading, drying, and baking were all done manually, depending on the weather, requiring labor and low productivity. Meanwhile, market demand was increasing, requiring products to be uniform and ensure food safety and hygiene. With the desire to preserve the traditional profession but still develop in a modern direction, Mr. Phan Quang Dang requested support to invest in advanced equipment lines. The project has a total investment capital of 644 million VND, of which 300 million VND came from local industrial promotion sources, the rest was matched by the facility.
The invested equipment includes a continuous rice paper dryer with a capacity of 80-100 kg/hour, a rice washing machine with a capacity of 500-800 kg/time and a frame dough press with a capacity of 300 kg/time. All are made of 304 stainless steel, ensuring durability and food hygiene. Thanks to the application of machinery, productivity has increased by more than 40%, product quality is consistent, raw material loss is reduced and electricity is saved. Mr. Dang shared: "Previously, only a few hundred cakes could be made each day, but now with the continuous dryer, 80-100 kg of cakes can be made each hour, meeting large orders well. Workers have less trouble and their income is also higher."
Not only does it bring economic efficiency, the model also helps preserve traditional crafts and create stable jobs for local people. The facility currently supplies products to many agents inside and outside the province, expanding the consumption market, and at the same time contributing to making Nguyet Hoa rice paper a typical product of Vinh Long.

Meanwhile, Nha Farm business household aims to utilize coconut shells to produce coconut fiber and coconut peat, which are two environmentally friendly products with high value in agriculture and handicrafts. Previously, processing coconut shells was mainly manual, low productivity, high cost. Thanks to the support of 300 million VND from the industrial promotion fund, Nha Farm invested in a modern production line including a coconut shell stripping machine, a screw conveyor, a fiber cage, a screw conveyor, a screw conveyor and a fiber conveyor, with a total capital of 625.25 million VND.
Ms. Bui Thanh Nha - business owner said: "Previously, coconut shells were thrown away, which was both wasteful and polluting. Now, they are all used to make fiber and coconut peat, increasing income and protecting the environment." Each ton of coconut shells can produce about 120-150kg of fiber and 200-250kg of coconut peat, bringing in many times more revenue. The automatic production line helps reduce labor, increase productivity and stabilize product quality.
In particular, Nha Farm's project also brings clear social value. The use of coconut shells helps reduce agricultural waste, contributing to the treatment of environmental pollution. The facility also creates regular jobs for many rural workers, promotes the purchasing and transportation of raw materials, and forms a new value chain for the province's coconut industry.
According to the Vinh Long Province Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion, these two support models are proof of the effectiveness and sustainability of the industrial promotion program. At Phan Quang Dang household, the project contributed to restoring traditional occupations, improving production capacity and labor productivity. For Nha Farm, the project opened up a new direction of development, making full use of local raw materials, creating a closed production chain, increasing the value of agricultural products and minimizing environmental impacts.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dong Phuong - Director of the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion of Vinh Long Province (Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long) commented: "The establishments have boldly changed their thinking and proactively applied technology. This is the right direction, in line with the orientation of rural industrialization. We will continue to replicate these effective models, prioritizing the fields of agricultural product processing and production of environmentally friendly materials."
He also emphasized that industrial promotion activities not only bring economic benefits but also help transform people's production models, from manual to mechanized, from small scale to value chain orientation. The State's support through financial support, technical advice and market connection has created a strong driving force for rural establishments to develop sustainably.
From the reality of the two models above, it can be seen that the effectiveness of industrial promotion is not only reflected in the investment figures or increased productivity, but also in the long-term impact on the community. Both facilities are operating stably, their products have a firm position in the market, contributing to increasing the income of workers, preserving traditional crafts, and at the same time effectively implementing the goal of developing a green economy in Vinh Long province.
