Regarding the prosecution of the couple Phan Thi Mai and Hoang Kim Khanh - owners of the Mailisa beauty salon system, the Department of Police Investigation of Crimes of Corruption, Economy, and Smuggling, Ministry of Public Security is continuing to investigate and clarify other violations of the law in the business operations of the Mailisa ecosystem.
Initial results show that the Mailisa system has distributed more than 8 million products of nearly 100 product codes under the Doctor Magic brand.
Of which, the 3 main product codes include pigmentation removal cream (named on the website as dark spot fading cream), code M01; dark spot removal cream to brighten skin, code M03; BB Nano concealer sunscreen, code M23. For these 3 codes alone, the Mailisa system reported that 3.2 million boxes have been sold.
According to Mailisa's website, the listed prices of these products are: M01 - selling price 910,000 VND, M03 - selling price 940,000 VND and M23 - selling price 680,000 VND. The sales volume of each product is unknown, so if the average price of each product box is 843,333 VND, the estimated revenue of the 3 main products is nearly 2,700 billion VND.
In addition to these 3 product codes, Mailisa also sells many product lines such as whitening cream, skin recovery cream, facial cleanser, rose water... with prices ranging from tens of thousands to millions of VND for each product or product. Among them, the N3 Doctor Magic product set - a cream set that helps improve melasma, freckles, and age spots is quite famous. This product set has a listed price of 2.55 million VND.

According to the investigation agency, products from skin care cream, melasma treatment, facial cleanser to sunscreen,... were all ordered by Phan Thi Mai and Hoang Kim Khanh to be manufactured at factories in Guangzhou (China) with prices of only 30,000-150,000 VND/product. Most of the cost of the above products was spent on glossy packaging, creating a high-end appearance to deceive consumers.
In China, cosmetic lines manufactured by Phan Thi Mai and Hoang Kim Khanh do not guarantee the quality and ingredients as declared to be granted CFS certification (Certificate of Free Sale).
Mailisa and her husband were accused of colluding with Chinese people, signing fake contracts, changing the origin of cosmetics from Guangzhou to Hong Kong (China) in order to obtain a CFS in Hong Kong. After that, Hoang Kim Khanh imported these products through MK Skincare Company to sell in Vietnam.
After the case was discovered, the Drug Administration recalled all 162 products and warned users to stop using them to avoid the risk of allergies and skin infections.
During the investigation, the authorities seized 3 billion VND, 400,000 USD, 300 SJC gold bars, and 100 land use right certificates. At the investigation agency, Mailisa and her husband voluntarily paid an additional 300 billion VND to remedy the consequences, handed over 12 supercar registration papers, and many other assets to serve the investigation.
