Billionaire Nguyen Dang Quang's wife leaves Vinacafé Bien Hoa board of directors after more than 12 years

Ms. Nguyen Hoang Yen left her position as a member of the board of directors of Vinacafé Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company after more than 12 years of association.

Ms. Nguyen Hoang Yen resigned from her position at Vinacafé Bien Hoa.

Vinacafé Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company has just announced the resolution of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders approving Ms. Nguyen Hoang Yen's resignation from the position of member of the board of directors before the end of her term, from November 10, 2025.

The Board of Directors also approved adjusting the number of members for the remaining term of 2025 - 2030 to 3 people.

Ms. Nguyen Hoang Yen is the wife of Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang - Chairman of Masan Group. She joined Vinacafé Bien Hoa on May 31, 2013 and has been a member of the board of directors for more than 12 years.

Ms. Yen currently holds many important positions in the Masan ecosystem such as member of the board of directors of Masan Joint Stock Company and Masan Group, Deputy General Director and member of the board of directors of Masan Consumer Goods Joint Stock Company, Chairman of Masan PQ, Chairman of Nam Ngu Phu Quoc LLC, Masan Long An LLC, Cat Trang LLC, General Director of Phong Phu - Lam Dong Joint Stock Company, member of the board of directors of NET Detergent Joint Stock Company.

She currently owns nearly 50.9 million MSN shares, accounting for about 3.36% of capital, with a market value of more than VND 4,000 billion. In addition, she also owns nearly 1.6 million MCH shares, accounting for nearly 0.15% of Masan Consumer's capital.

Bring money back to the parent company

Vinacafé Bien Hoa was established in 1963 under the name Bien Hoa Coffee Company. The company was equitized in 2004 and officially listed with stock code VCF in early 2011.

Masan began planning to acquire Vinacafé Bien Hoa in 2010. The group acquired shares from VinaCapital, VF1, Vietcombank Fund, Vietnam Holding and owned 20% of charter capital before Vinacafé Bien Hoa was listed.

Afterwards, Masan Consumer (a subsidiary of Masan) publicly offered to buy 13.32 million VCF shares, equivalent to 50.11% of capital at the end of 2011. In the 2011 financial report, Masan recorded the amount of VND 1,069 billion to buy Vinacafé Bien Hoa shares, excluding transaction costs.

After many transactions, Vinacafé Bien Hoa is a subsidiary of Masan Beverage - a subsidiary of Masan Consumer, with an ownership ratio of up to 98.79%. With Masan Beverage owning up to 98.79% of the voting shares, the enterprise no longer meets the conditions of a public company.

For many years, Vinacafé Bien Hoa has been known as the most expensive stock on HoSE. At the end of July 2025, the price of this stock peaked at VND326,400. However, the liquidity of this stock is very low, averaging less than 3,000 shares per session.

Vinacafé Bien Hoa is known as one of the companies that pay generous cash dividends. Since 2017, the company has regularly paid cash dividends at a rate of 250 - 400%.

In 2017, the company paid dividends of up to VND66,000/share. In 2024, the company will pay dividends of VND48,000/share. With 98.79% of capital holding, Masan Beverage will receive about VND1,260 billion in dividends.

The company's financial report recorded VND1,855 billion in net revenue in the first 9 months of 2025, up 11% over the same period. Profit after tax was VND362 billion, up 26%.
