Seven-colored langurs appear in people's gardens.

On the evening of January 18th, Mr. Tran Quoc The, Head of Hamlet 4 Dien My (Ha Linh Commune, Ha Tinh Province), stated that for about three days now, a rare seven-colored langur (brown-footed langur) has unexpectedly appeared, climbing and moving around on trees in people's gardens in the area.

Based on observations, this langur is likely a mature male, weighing approximately 6-8 kg. The langur has smooth, thick, dense, and extremely colorful fur, combining many colors such as brown, gray, white, black, red, yellow, and purple. It also has a beautiful long white and yellow beard on its face.

Individual langurs are very healthy and agile, often climbing and moving among jackfruit, fig, mahogany, and pomelo trees at an average height of 10-20 meters. Whenever they sense disturbance or someone approaching, they quickly hide. Langurs mainly feed on the leaves of various trees.

This was the first time a seven-colored langur had appeared in Hamlet 4, so the locals were delighted to see it and were consciously protecting it. Immediately after receiving the report, the Hamlet 4 leadership reported the incident to the Ha Linh commune government and relevant authorities to develop a plan for protection and handling according to regulations. They also assigned people to regularly monitor and check on the langur, and placed food and water on a tree about 4 meters high to provide for it.

It is believed that this langur individual migrated from deep within the mountains to the local area.
