VTV Can Tho "breathes life" into new images of the Mekong Delta

(NLDO) - VTV Can Tho affirms to continue to closely coordinate with localities in the Mekong Delta to produce more news reflecting the region's development aspirations.

On October 3, in Can Tho City, the Vietnam Television Center for the Southwest Region (VTV Can Tho) held a conference on "Enhancing information about the Mekong Delta on Vietnam Television".

At the conference, journalist Vo Ngoc Van Quan, Director of VTV Can Tho, emphasized: "The Mekong Delta is not only the country's rice, fruit and seafood granary, but also a land rich in cultural identity and gentle and creative people. Increasing the region's content on national television is an important political task, and at the same time, VTV's commitment to accompany the sustainable development of the region."

With the position and role of a national television channel in the region, VTV Can Tho affirms to continue to closely coordinate with localities, agencies, organizations, and businesses in the region to produce many news, special programs, documentaries, and reports, reflecting the breath of life and development aspirations of the Mekong Delta on broadcasting platforms and digital products of Vietnam Television.

Mr. Le Minh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City, expressed his wish that VTV Can Tho would focus on disseminating information about the Mekong Delta in the following areas: Rice, fruit trees, aquatic products; diverse ecosystems, river landscapes; rich cultural identity, traditional festivals; sustainable development adapting to climate change; and transport infrastructure.

"For Can Tho City, I suggest that VTV Can Tho focus on propagating the resolution of the 1st Congress of Can Tho City Party Committee into life; affirming the role of Can Tho as the center of the region and the growth pole of the country...." - Mr. Tuan said.

At the conference, many delegates also proposed their wishes and placed their hopes on new programs, bearing the imprint of the Mekong Delta river region more strongly, the strong transformation of localities after the merger process...; thereby showing a comprehensive, increasingly prosperous picture and the important contributions of this region to the whole country.
