On the afternoon of November 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced that as of 4 p.m. the same day, health authorities recorded 299 people suspected of food poisoning after eating bread at the "Banh mi toa co Bich" store in Hanh Thong ward and Binh Loi Trung ward branches.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, the patients came to 14 hospitals in the city for examination and treatment. Most of the patients are now in stable health and have been discharged.
Military Hospital 175 received the most patients with 175 cases. Of these, 25 cases are still being treated as inpatients and are in stable health condition.
Gia Dinh People's Hospital received 62 cases, of which 37 are still being treated. The hospital recorded 3 cases with positive microbiological cultures for Salmonella and Staphylococcus coagulase negative, and 1 severe case with many underlying diseases.

Tam Anh Hospital admitted 30 cases, and is treating 5 inpatients. All patients are in stable condition. Other hospitals have recorded cases in stable health and have been discharged.
Specifically, Binh Dan Hospital has 1 case, discharged. My Duc Tan Binh Hospital has 1 case, discharged. Becamex International Hospital has 9 cases, in stable health, expected to be discharged on November 12. Trung My Tay Hospital has 7 cases, 6 have been discharged, 1 is an inpatient. Go Vap Hospital has 4 cases, 1 is still being treated. Children's Hospital 2 has 3 inpatients, in stable health.
Other hospitals including: Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Campus 1 and Campus 3, People's Hospital 115, Khanh Hoi, Hoc Mon recorded a total of 7 cases; all have stabilized and most have been discharged.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said it is continuing to monitor and update developments of suspected food poisoning cases related to "Miss Bich's Toad Bread".
Previously, on November 6, dozens of people were hospitalized due to suspected food poisoning after eating bread at “Banh mi toa co Bich” on Nguyen Thai Son street, Hanh Thong ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Representatives of the bakery have come to work with the authorities.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety coordinated with the People's Committee of Hanh Thong Ward to establish an inspection team, take food samples at the facility, and simultaneously seal and temporarily suspend the bakery's operations to investigate the cause.
The Ministry of Health has also asked the city to urgently verify and report the cause of the mass poisoning, and review the store's food supply chain to prevent similar incidents.
