According to the schedule for the afternoon of November 28, T. was supposed to have physical education class in the second period, but some students still came to school earlier than the scheduled time. After checking and reminding, the teacher returned to the office.

According to Ton Duc Thang Secondary School, the reason for the fight was a conflict over an art assignment. T. borrowed Ph.'s assignment to submit to the teacher, but was unable to return it because it was lost. Ph. threatened to beat T. if he did not return it.

Immediately after the incident, the school and the homeroom teacher invited the parents and the students involved to work. Before notifying the parents, the school asked the students involved to write a report. Students who did not stop the fight were also required to write a report and were notified so that their parents could coordinate their education.

The school has resolved the matter and the student’s parents have agreed. The parents of the student involved in the beating will visit the student who was beaten, but when the school and the homeroom teacher contacted them to meet in person, T.’s parents refused.

On the morning of December 1, when student T. had not yet arrived at class, the homeroom teacher called but the parents did not answer. That same afternoon, the parents contacted the principal and asked for assistance in transferring their child to another school.

School representatives met with the parents, discussed T.'s wishes and encouraged him to return to class, however the parents still wanted to transfer their child to another school.

Thong Nhat Ward Police also sent a report to the Party Secretary and the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee about the case of a female student being beaten by a group of people at Ton Duc Thang Secondary School. The Ward Police said they had contacted the school's Board of Directors and the students involved to verify and clarify the incident.

As reported by Thanh Nien , student D.TNT, a 7th grader at Ton Duc Thang Secondary School, was beaten up by a group of students right at school. Although many students were standing nearby, they did not intervene and even incited this act of school violence.
