Russia's RIA Novosti news agency cited sources as saying that a month before the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall theater, one of the accused terrorists, Shamsidin Fariduni, posted a photo of himself on social media and showed his geographical location in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Fariduni posted eight photos, one of which was said to have been taken at a mosque. In another photo, Fariduni is seen wearing a beige jacket, which was identified by a security guard at Crocus City Hall when he came to inquire about the concert hall a few days before the attack.
Meanwhile, a source in the security forces said that all four terrorists were trained at one of the hideouts in Türkiye, specifically in Istanbul, for about 2 months.

The four suspects directly involved in the attack, all Tajik citizens, were arrested by security forces in Bryansk province (Russia) on March 23. In addition to Shamsidin Fariduni, there were also Dalerjon Mirzoev, Saidakrami Rachabalizoda and Muhammadsobir Fayzov. The court charged the four with terrorism. The maximum penalty for this crime is life imprisonment. After this tragic attack, many Russian officials called for the reintroduction of the death penalty.
In another development, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said that the country's authorities have arrested 40 suspects of belonging to the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization. Terrorist raids have been carried out in eight Turkish provinces in recent days.
