This year, lychees ripen early, have high yields, and are harvested simultaneously in many localities in the province, causing a large supply of lychees to the market. The amount of lychees simultaneously arriving at weighing points in the morning (because traders concentrate on buying in the morning) causes local congestion, causing short-term supply to exceed demand, pushing prices down in some places and at some times.

Along with that, the province's lychee harvest time coincides with the lychee harvest time in the main export market of China; Guangxi province has had heavy rain and floods, causing disruptions in the lychee transport route deep into inland provinces of China, causing significant impacts on lychee exports to China through Guangxi province.
However, the sectors and levels of local government have joined hands with farmers to consume lychee, with many rich and diverse forms, so the results achieved are quite impressive.
Specifically, right after the province's merger, at the regular meeting in early July 2025, Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan directed to strengthen the connection of lychee consumption, focusing on enterprises in the industrial park. Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan directly participated in the working group to visit the lychee growing area and witnessed the signing ceremony of purchasing 100 tons of lychee between cooperatives and enterprises in the industrial park and consumed a large quantity of lychee to many corporations and enterprises, such as: Foxconn (30 tons), Welstory (11 tons), Crystal Martin (10 tons), and Luxshare Vietnam (10 tons)...
Accompanying the people consuming lychee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh also directly livestreamed, interacting with customers within the framework of "Luc Ngan Lychee Week - Pride of Vietnamese Agricultural Products". Right in the first session, in just 6 hours of broadcasting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh and his team consumed 55 tons of lychee. With a simple demeanor and a bunch of lychee in hand, the livestream attracted thousands of orders from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and international markets such as the US, Japan, Australia... The livestream session not only promoted lychee consumption but also inspired farmers and the young generation to participate in digital transformation in agriculture .
In addition, the leaders of Bac Ninh province also directed to promote the application of digital transformation to expand the lychee consumption market for people. The Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Ninh has coordinated with TikTok Shop and Sendo Farm Online Supermarket to organize Farm Tour, Mega Live activities and livestream skills training for farmers. These programs help people access e-commerce platforms, design packaging and tell product stories in many languages.
The province also organized trade promotion delegations to China to promote lychee. Organized conferences to promote the consumption of lychee and OCOP products to connect businesses, cooperatives and traders, creating a foundation for product consumption agreements.
Thanks to that, the 2025 lychee crop has achieved quite impressive results, up to now, the lychee consumption output has reached more than 182,500 tons, exceeding the plan by 105.4%. The consumption channels are diverse, from supermarkets, e-commerce platforms, domestic industrial parks to demanding international markets such as the US, EU, Japan, and Canada. In particular, the domestic market continues to be the mainstay of lychee consumption, with about 119,600 tons, accounting for 65.5% of total output.
Lychee exports reached about 63,000 tons, accounting for 34.5% of total output, with China leading the market (62,100 tons), followed by the EU (167 tons), the United States (116 tons), Japan (163 tons), Canada (143 tons), Australia (212 tons), and the Middle East (50 tons). In particular, Dragonberry Company (USA) has cooperated with Vietnamese partners since 2022, successfully exporting 100 tons of fresh lychee to the United States, Canada, and Japan in 2025, marking a new step forward for Bac Ninh lychee on the shelves of Costco supermarkets, one of the largest retail chains in the United States.
Also in Europe, more than 100 tons of early-ripening lychees from Tan Yen district landed at Charles de Gaulle airport, Paris, on June 14, through Mova Plus Joint Stock Company (Czech Republic). The shipment was distributed to Rungis International Market, the world's largest agricultural market, serving 18 million consumers in France and neighboring countries at a wholesale price of 7.2 - 8 euros/kg.
With a methodical strategy and the support of leaders, businesses, and people, the 2025 lychee crop has basically come to an end, promising to continue to conquer domestic and foreign markets, affirming its position on the global agricultural map.
