Case of brutally beating children: Criminal detention of Con Cung nursery owner

Regarding the case of children being brutally beaten and carried upside down, Quang Nam Provincial Police have temporarily detained the owner of the Con Cung family daycare group.

This morning, April 13, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Nam Province announced that it had issued an emergency detention order and decided to temporarily detain Ms. NNUL (30 years old, permanent resident of Que My Commune, Que Son District, Quang Nam Province) to investigate the act of torturing others.

Initial investigation results determined that Ms. NNUL is the owner of the Con Cung family nursery group, which is allowed to operate with a scale of 7 children or less in Que My commune (according to the operating permit document of the People's Committee of Que My commune).

On April 11, Mrs. NNUL's Con Cung group took care of children from 21 to 24 months old, Mrs. L. was the one who directly took care of the children. At about 11:00 a.m. on the same day (April 11), after feeding the children, Mrs. L. let the children take a nap. At about 11:55 a.m. on the same day, two children, NPĐ.K (2 years old) and NLHN (2 years old), woke up crying.

After trying to comfort the two children for a while, but they did not stop crying, Mrs. L. got angry and abused NLHN and NPĐ.K, threatening them to stop crying and go to sleep.

The incident was recorded by a camera in the children's classroom.

At about 6:30 p.m. the same day (April 11), NPĐ.K's parents posted on Facebook and reported to the police.

At the police station, Ms. NNUL admitted all her wrongdoings. Up to now, the health of the two abused children has stabilized.

Currently, the case is being investigated and strictly handled by the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Nam Province in coordination with professional units and Que My Commune Police according to the provisions of law.

As Thanh Nien reported, on the afternoon of April 11, a nearly 1-minute clip was spread on social networks, recording a group of children sleeping at noon that same day.

A woman went up to a baby's legs, picked him up, and used a wooden object to hit him on the legs many times, causing the baby to cry out.

Then, this person turned to the children sleeping behind him and continued to use a plastic stick to stuff into the mouth of one of the children while he was also crying, to scare him.

Except for the two beaten children, the other children were sleeping soundly.

The posted clip received many angry comments about the woman's actions.
