Naval Region 3 holds 2025 Military-Political Conference

Vice Admiral Nguyen An Phong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Navy attended and directed. Also attending were the heads of the General Staff, the Political Department, the Naval Logistics and Engineering Department; and functional agencies of the Navy.

Colonel Pham Anh Tuan, Commander of the Region, chaired; Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Region, disseminated the resolution on leadership in implementing military and defense tasks and Party building in 2026 of the Party Committee of Region 3.

In 2025, the Party Committee, the Command of Region 3 and the Party committees and commanders at all levels strictly comply with orders, resolutions and directives of superiors, and lead and direct units to strictly maintain forces, means and combat readiness regimes.

Region 3 has managed and grasped the situation in the assigned sea area; promptly advised and proposed to the Party Committee and the Navy Command to handle situations properly, avoiding passivity and surprise, firmly protecting sovereignty, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment at sea.

The entire Region completed all training courses and political education for the subjects on time, content, and programs, with 98.9% of the troops; organized training, drills, and live-fire tests for all types of guns and artillery with 100% good and excellent results, ensuring absolute safety; participated in competitions and sports events organized by superiors with high results.

The units effectively carried out the tasks of natural disaster prevention, search and rescue at sea, and promptly supported people in overcoming the consequences of historic floods in the provinces of Da Nang, Hue, Quang Ngai and Gia Lai.

The region has developed many good models and creative ways to improve the quality of Party and political work; ensuring good logistics and technical work for tasks.

The movement of technical innovation initiatives was promoted; 35 initiatives were applied in practice, benefiting the state with hundreds of millions of dong.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Admiral Nguyen An Phong acknowledged and commended the achievements of Region 3 in 2025.

The Naval Political Commissar requested: Region 3 continues to thoroughly grasp, concretize and strictly implement resolutions and directives from superiors; do a good job of political and ideological education, creating a unified bloc, using that as a measure to lead the unit to successfully complete all assigned tasks.

The whole region promotes the emulation movement to win, effectively implements breakthroughs, and spreads the qualities and culture of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers".

The region strictly maintains the combat readiness regime, firmly grasps, manages and handles situations at sea well; focuses on innovating and improving the quality of training, especially cadre training; creates steady changes in the work of building a regular system and managing discipline.

Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien disseminated the resolution on leadership in implementing military and defense tasks in 2026.

Vice Admiral Nguyen An Phong noted: The Party Committee of Region 3 must always uphold the principles of leadership, take care to build a team of qualified, capable, prestigious and responsible cadres; carry out well the mass mobilization work, policies and programs "Vietnam Navy as a fulcrum for fishermen to go offshore", the activities "Navy sponsors fishermen's children" and "Quang Trung Campaign" to help the authorities and people of the South Central provinces to soon stabilize their lives after the recent historic floods.

In 2026, the Party Committee and Command of Region 3 will focus on leading and directing the entire Region to heighten vigilance and combat readiness, avoid being caught off guard, maintain confidence, overcome difficulties, strictly comply with orders, and firmly protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

The Head of Command of Region 3 awarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2025 emulation movement.

The Region continues to improve the quality of training; create a steady change in regular construction, discipline management, safety assurance and military administrative reform; build a comprehensively strong Region, successfully completing all assigned tasks.

At the conference, the Command of Region 3 launched the emulation movement to win in 2026 with the theme: "Solidarity, discipline, breakthrough, creativity, determination to win".

In 2025, Region 3 was awarded the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal and the Emulation Flag of the Navy Command; 1 collective was awarded the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal (Regiment 351); 2 individuals were awarded the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal; 1 collective and 1 individual were awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; 1 collective was awarded the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of National Defense (Brigade 172); 2 collectives were awarded the Emulation Flag of the Navy Command (Brigade 680, Regiment 351), and many collectives and individuals were commended and rewarded at all levels.
