Schools proactively innovate their programs and teaching methods according to the 2018 General Education Program. Models such as "Happy School" and "Green - Safe - Friendly School" have been responded to by many localities.
Binh Thuan Primary School, Minh Xuan Ward is one of the leading units in innovating teaching methods. Teacher Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Principal of the school said: “We attach importance to creating a friendly learning environment. Teachers use electronic lectures, and lessons are designed vividly to maximize creativity and thinking ability of students; promote professional activities in the direction of lesson research, helping teachers share and improve pedagogical capacity”.
Teacher Dang Quang Nhan, Principal of Viet Vinh Primary School, Bac Quang Commune, shared: “Students in mountainous areas still have many disadvantages, so we focus on teaching knowledge, life skills, communication skills, and preserving national cultural identity. Every day at school, the children feel happy, loved, and respected.”
In order to meet the requirements of educational innovation, Tuyen Quang province has prioritized allocating investment resources for primary education. In the period of 2021 - 2025, the whole province has mobilized hundreds of billions of VND to build new and renovate classrooms, supplement teaching equipment, especially equipment for the new general education program.
Comrade Hoang Minh Canh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang province, said: “Investing in education is investing in the future. Every year, the sector reviews the need for classrooms, desks, chairs, and teaching equipment, prioritizing disadvantaged areas and ethnic minority areas. Up to now, 100% of primary schools have solid classrooms; many schools in remote areas have libraries, computer rooms, playgrounds, and standard toilets.”
Along with facilities, the teaching staff is also interested in training and improving their qualifications. The whole province currently has over 8,700 primary school teachers, 100% of whom are qualified, of which more than 85% have university degrees or higher. Every year, the Department of Education and Training coordinates with universities and research institutes to organize professional training courses, train new programs, integrated teaching, and use digital devices to help teachers keep up with innovation trends. In addition to the state budget, many localities also mobilize the participation of the community, businesses, and parents' associations in socializing education. Small projects such as friendly libraries, reading corners, playgrounds, flower beds, etc. are jointly built, contributing to creating a landscape and a safe, friendly, and close learning environment.
With the right orientation, attention from Party committees and authorities at all levels, and the efforts of the teaching staff, we believe that Tuyen Quang primary education will increasingly develop comprehensively, creating a solid foundation in the career of "growing people".
