Albinism in sea turtles is an extremely rare genetic mutation, occurring in only 1/100,000 to 1/150,000 individuals. Every year, Con Dao National Park still records a few turtle nests with albino individuals, but most of them have congenital defects and have difficulty surviving in the wild.

This time, 17 albino turtles were found to be healthy, with active red eyes. They are considered a priceless gift from the ocean, raising hope for the enduring vitality of sea turtles.
This event is good news biologically and once again shows the significance of conservation work. In the face of the challenges of climate change, ocean pollution and illegal hunting of sea turtles, each small creature that is reborn is truly a symbol of faith, responsibility and love for nature.
